He layed down on his bed and looked up at the ceiling. I cannot believe I just got a tux and a pink tie. It's ridiculous.He grabbed his red basketball that Ashley had given him and started tossing it up and down. He had recently been thinking about all his friends and their relationships. Troy and Gabriella, happily married with 2 kids, Martha and Ryan, also happy and have Amber, and now Sharpay and Newt were getting married, hence why he got the pink tie. But even though he was really happy for all of them, he couldn't help but feel a little left out. But he dealt with all the time, it was really no big deal to him, but now, he didnt know what to feel. He loved Ashley very much and would never want to lose her, but he really hadnt really thought of marriage before. Not that he didnt want to get married one day. He tossed the basketball, and it landed on his night table, knocking a picture frame over. The picture was of him and Ashley about 3 nights ago during a party. She was leaning over, kissing his cheek and he was looking over at her, smiling. He thought about marriage again. This was the most he'd ever thought about it before. Then he came to a decision. I'm going to marry her.He picked up his cellphone and dialed Sharpay's number. He knew that since she was getting married, she probably knew how girls would like guys to propose and other stuff he didnt know.

Sharpay was, while Chad was busy thinking over his relationship with Ashley, getting ready to take her step with Newt to the next level. She was looking over the seating arrangements for the reception and everything seemed fine. She had to switch around a few things though, just so that their parents were at the same table. Actually his mom and her dad. His dad and ex-stepdad weren't coming to the wedding and her mom was not invited. Not unless Sharpay died or something. She felt her cell phone vibrate from her pocket and pulled it out. A picture of her and Chad arguing-something they always did-flashed with DANFORTH in black bold letters underneath as well as Accept? and Ignore options. She hit accept and pulled it towards her mouth. "Hey, Danforth. What is it you want to argue about this time? If it's about the pink ties, you're just gonna have to deal with it." Sharpay said, writing in her father's name next to Newt's mom and smiling at how perfect it was just then.

Although I would like to harshly complain about the ties, that's not why I called. He sighed and had a worried face. What if I'm not ready for marriage yet? What if Ashley doesnt want to get married? Then what? He stopped being so worried for a minute and told Sharpay why he was calling her. Well... I've been doing some thinking.. and.. I think.. I want to marry Ashley. And... I dont know how to propose or anything! I need your help. Then Chad thought. Never in my life I would have thought I'd be asking Sharpay for help in proposing.

"Whoa. You wanna like...propose? That's so sweet. Chad Danforth actually has a romantic bone in his body." she smirked, then stood up and walked into Newt's bedroom with the seating chart and set it next to her side of his bed. "Well...For One: Valentine's Day is coming up. Do it then. Two: Be really romantic about it. Newt asked me by having it written in frosting on a cake and it was a picnic at the beach. Maybe....I have an idea!!" she jumped up and down. "Okay! I can help you, since I'm rich," she giggled. "Anyway, do this: Make a really nice dinner for her, or order it, Whatever floats your boat. Then put rose petals all over the floor of your house leading to the table. Then tell her you want to go on a walk and during the walk tell her how much you love her. And a bunch of sappy stuff that you probably can't pull off. Anyway, after that, just give her a flower and in the center of the flower, assuming it's a rose, put the ring in the flower. She'll be able to see it if you put the diamond up. Then ask her." she smiled, proud of her quick thinking.

Wow.. that's a lot of stuff to remember.. and all for a question.. well, I'll do it. And, I'm going to HAVE to order the dinner, since.. well, I cant even make toast. And you dont think I can pull off sappy stuff, huh? Well, I'll have you know, I can pull that off easily. Anyway, rose petals? Do they sell those? And wont the ring get lost in the flower? Oh god.. this is a lot.. Chad was pretty damn dumb when it came to this stuff. He had a lot of questions, and he hoped to get them all answered, so he wouldnt mess up when it was time for him to propose. But then again, he is Chad Danforth, and he usually messes up on SOMETHING.

"Chad. The cooks at Lava Springs can help you with the food. and I have people who can help with the rose petals, mkay? So shut up and buy her a ring already!" Sharpay said, with a sigh. Her wedding was the next day. She really needed a massage. And Newt wasn't there to give her one.

I'm gonna guess your stressed.. look, if I'm causing you even more stress, I can hang up or whatever. I dont want you to be overly stressed out right before your wedding day.

"I'm fine. I just need a drink. Like a margarita the size of my head. And a massage. And a good-Um...Nevermind. Uh.....Well...You don't have to hang up." she said.
