Sharpay smiled. She was glad things were good for him, Corrie, and Jamie. Sharpay wanted to ask if he would finally pop the question anytime soon, but she didn't know if that would be a good thing to ask. She didn't have to think about it. Screw that. "So, when are you going to pop the question to her?" she asked. [/blockquote]

Hearing Sharpay's question he scratched the back of his head in a sort of nervous manner. "Uh.. well to be honest with you I'm not really sure.." He said awkwardly, "I don't know if I should"

Sharpay looked over at him, glared, then physically attacked him, pinning him down onto the hard surface of the stage. "WHAT?! YOU KNOCKED HER UP, YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH HER, AND YOU'RE HAPPY WITH HER AND YOU ARE NOT GOING TO MARRY HER?!?!?! WHY IN THE WORLD AREN'T YOU?!" Sharpay screamed, pushing his arms down and putting all her weight on his torso so he couldn't move. Although she wasn't strong, she did work out often with all her dancing. And she was pretty good at being forceful. Newt knew that better than anyone. But Sharpay just couldn't wrap her mind around the concept of loving someone and not marrying them. Although, the reason why was probably because she and Newt had gotten married just short of a year of dating. [/blockquote]

Right after he answered her question he looked over at his cousin. The look on her face was something to be expected however the fact that she ended up attacking him? Not so much. Before he knew it he was slammed against the hard surface of the stage and Sharpay had him pinned down and was yelling at him. "WHAT THE HELL SHAR, GET OFF OF ME!" he demanded as he raised his voice. "why does it matter? it's not like i'm gonna leave her or anything. i just.. i don't know if marriage is right for us."

Sharpay glared harder at him. "No. I will not." she said, getting a better grip on his right wrist while she said so. "But still! Every girl dreams about her perfect wedding and the kiss and the flowers and seeing the guy at the end of the aisle and waking up being all nervous! That was the highlight of my life, Eth and don't you want Cor to have her moment too?" Sharpay asked, trying to convince him to pop the question.

Ethan let out a small groan as she tightened her grip on his wrist. However once she spoke again he ended up sighing. She made a good point. That really sucked for him. "I know.. she deserves to have her moment. she deserves what ever she wants.. and i'd do anything for her but.. marriage.. getting married.. i can't do it." He tried to keep his gaze away from hers but it was rather difficult since she still had him pinned down.

Sharpay sighed herself. He was frustrating her. Very much. "Ugh. Why won't you marry her, Ethie?! I mean, are you afraid of the commitment...or...?" Sharpay bit her lip. She didn't know what else her cousin would have as a reason for not wanting to marry his fantastic girlfriend. "Marrying her and what you two have now isn't that much of a difference. There's just more promises when you marry someone, but you've kept the ones you've already made so well." Sharpay said.

He attempted to shake his head, not sure if it worked or not he spoke at the same time, "It has nothing to do with commitment issues. But see? You just said so yourself, there really isn't much of a difference between what we have now and being married. I like what we have now. I don't want it to change. or to get messed up.." Ethan stated.

Sharpay glared at him. "That's not what I was trying to do..." she muttered, angrily. "But why NOT get married? Just because Chad and Ashley & Newt and I got all messed up doesn't mean you and Cor will." Sharpay said. "Trust me. Newt and I have...Always had problems." she said and that really wasn't a lie. "And I never really liked Chad with Ashley anyway!" Sharpay said, rolling her eyes then looking at him. "The point here IS, what you and Corrie have is really special. And you can't just outrule what could be by the other what ifs that are going through your head. " she said, looking at him, her blonde hair gently falling onto his face. " Sorry." she said, apologizing for her hair.[/blockquote]

Hearing her go off again Eth closed his eyes. Almost wishing that his cousin had a remote so that he could mute her or at least fast forward through this conversation. His reasons might not be the best but he just had a feeling that he shouldn't ask Corrie to marry him. A part of him wanted to but the part that said no appeared to be larger. He felt her hair which had fallen onto his face. "Shar.. get off me.. please." He said as he finally opened his eyes again. He knew that if he said something else about the marriage topic then she'd most likely just pull out a bunch of other good points. There was no way that he could win this one.
