Dakota smiled at her reflection. Her mom had been nice and taken her to the dentist to get her braces removed a week earlier than scheduled. Now she had a perfect smile. Instead of straightening her hair like usual, she decided to curl it with a large-barrel iron, making big waves. She put on this outfit and ran outside, to where she could see cars pulling up down the street. She chose driving though, so that she wouldn't mess up her hair or lip gloss, and well, driving was more stylish. She walked in the door with a large group of girls. Slowly, people began to notice her and stare, she felt really out of place and wondered where in the hell Peter was

peter walked around, being all nice to everyone, waiting for dakota to show up so his plan could really begin. he high fived a friend then ran his fingers through his hair, walking closer to the door, seeing a familiar face. "kota?" he asked, with a confused smile, pulling his hand out of his somewhat messed up hair. "you look....great..." he said. but he wasn't sure if he liked it. it wasn't usual. she never looked like this. it upset him to not see her frilly tutus and braces, but he wouldn't tell her that.

"Hey Peter,"she greeted back. Dakota beamed,"thanks. you look...great, as always." she told him. She looked awkwardly at people gawking at them, and her cheeks burned. She tugged at a curly piece of hair that had fallen over her eyes. "So, um, why didn't I see you at school today?"she asked curiously. She'd been having second thoughts about coming to his party, but since she hadn't seen him, she couldnt cancel.

peter frowned slightly. "oh, sorry. i was just getting ready for the party...making sure everything was ready.i should've shown up though. sorry. i didn't worry you or anything, did i?" he asked, a little concern showing in his voice. she did look really pretty. he couldn't help but check her out and tuck his hands into the belt loops of his pants.

"No,"she said,"I wasn't worried. There were some rather dissapointed looking cheerleaders, and some confused friends of yours, who kept staring at me, which totally freaked me out, but no, I wasn't worried." she explained, sliding her hands into her back pocket. She pretended to ignore seeing his eyes travel down her body, secretly feeling pleased with herself, and rather self-concious and nervous at the same time.

peter nodded. "oh...well, the cheerleaders are always confused when i'm not around. it's like i'm their leader." he rolled his eyes. "so uh....anyway...do you want to get something to drink?" he asked, shrugging a little, unsure of how to begin his plan. this had never happened before.

Dakota giggled, and then nodded,"Uhh sure. Why not?" she shrugged slightly as well. She waited for him to look away, and took the time to look around his house. Though it was slightly messy from the party, she could tell he was rich (everyone knew that though), and she liked his house. They both lived in the same, high-class neighbourhood, but she liked his house better than hers. Hers was very modern and had a dont-touch vibe, his was much more cozy

peter looked away momentarily just to wave at a few football players. he turned back to dakota. "okay. let's go." he said, grabbing her hand and slowly leading her through the crowded, loud party. he walked past the couch and saw a cheerleader on top of a geek. not the first time that'd happened at one of his parties. he looked back at her and smiled.

Dakota let herself be lead through his house. Cheerleaders and jocks grinding, she was almost feeling prude, blushing at the sight of it all. She glanced up at him and smiled back, now staring at her uggs, feeling out of place

peter finally come to a place where there was a bit of room, then spun dakota around. he laughed quietly to himself, smiling at her as she spun back to see him. "so, punch, beer, vodka, or kool-aid?" he asked, smiling at her, once they reached the table.
