Bookstores were places Hailley Esme Calimesa always loved to be in. There were just too many books to choose from! Yes she was a book worm! This habit started when she was four and began starting to read. Then in High school she started reading again and ended up being Valedictorian. Despite being one of the cheerleaders...
Sighing she walked through the mall and grinned when she thought about Ethan! Her best friend and closest person to her. Grinning she sent him a text.
Hey Eth! Where are you at?
Love, Your most favorite Valedictorian and girl in the WHOLE world, Hailley~
She ended the text with a smirk and walked out of the mall and sat down on a bench eating a thing of fries. [/blockquote]

Ethan Evans was walking through the mall. He had arrived there moments earlier and was now on a mission. That mission was to get a chocolate milkshake. Now anyone who knew Ethan was well aware of his love for dairy products. Ice cream, milkshakes, cheese, he loved all of those things however milk was by far his favorite. He constantly drank it, well white milk at least. He was sorta against chocolate milk, never drank it. He had the odd time when he was a kid but now just refused to. His friends loved to try and make him drink it though, daring him to do it. It seemed to amuse them and sometimes he would give in but usually no. White milk was his favorite and that would never change. However when it came to milkshakes he didn't mind chocolate. Actually he loved it. That was his favorite type of milkshake to drink. He wasn't really sure why since he was so against chocolate milk but then some questions are better left unanswered so he might never know.
After reaching the milkshake stand he bought a large chocolate shake. Taking a sip of it he began to walk around the mall. As he was walking he heard a noise. It was coming from his pocket. The sound was the chorus of the song, This Charming Man by Death Cab for Cutie. His phone was ringing. Holding the milkshake in one hand he used his other to grab his blackberry out from his pocket. Once he got it out Eth realized that he had just received a text message from Hailley. A small smile appeared on his face as he read it. Him and Hailley met at the first of the school year at UOA, she had been in one of his classes and they were assigned to be partners for a while. Now normally you don't become close friends with your project partner but that wasn't the case with him and her. They hit it off right away and became best friends. It was pretty great. He loved spending time with her. He quickly sent her a text message which said, Hey Hales, i'm at the mall, what about you? Even though he had sent the message he didn't put his phone back in his pocket since he was pretty sure that she'd be sending him another message soon. [/blockquote]

A vibration in her pocket was heard as well as the lyrics to I don't Want To Be by Gavin DeGraw. Smiling she knew it was Ethan by the ringtone. Instantly she popped another french fry into her mouth and read the text. Her face brightened and she smirked as she typed the next one in and took a drink of her mountain dew.
What no Love you too?!!!! Jeesh I feel the love! lol. jk jk. anyways I'm good good. Really hyper for some reason. what about you? And I'm at the mall want to meet up?!
Smiling she left her phone on her lap and watched passersby as she popped a few more french fries in.

Still wandering around the mall Eth began to wonder when his phone would ring again. He was positive that it would because usually when Hailley began to send him text messages it would go on for hours not that he minded that. He enjoyed texting with her or just talking, either way it was always a good time. About to take another sip of his milkshake he heard the song play again so he looked down at his phone in his hand. Surely enough it was another message from Hailley. He chuckled a little bit at the message she had wrote.
Aww i'm sorry lol um i'm good just drinking a milkshake xD haha sure! where do you wanna meet? oh and i love you too hales ;]
After sending the text message he began to wonder where she might be at the moment or where she'd want to meet. She was big into books so most likely she would have already been to one of the book stores or maybe the thought of going to one would be on her mind. Eth actually thought that it was pretty cool that she did a lot of reading, she got him into it a few weeks after they first met. There would be times when they'd hang out that she'd start to tell him about some awesome book that she had just finished reading and well some of them had caught his interest so he started reading some. He was big into books about history, like the wars and ancient Egypt. Lately he had been reading a lot of books about Greek Mythology, he found the different stories to be very cool. [/blockquote]

Her eyes looked around the busy mall as she tried to spot Ethan. God he was hard to spot in this place. Thankfully texting had been invented!! Grinning she quickly read over the text two or three times. A smile placed on her lips the whole entire time.
Milkshake?! You BETTER save some for me Mr. Evans! Otherwise I might have to smack you! lol. I have some french fries and mountain if you want some REAL food ;] I might be able to salvage you some xD
Anyways I'm in front of the bookstore. See if you can find me! The Valedictorian placed her phone back on her lap and closed her eyes as she placed her food and cup on the bench on her left side.

The song began to play again as he received another text message from Hailley. He smiled as he read it, French fries and mountain dew. His favorite beverage, well next to milk and then one type of food that he loved. That sounded pretty darn good right now. He was only just realizing now how hungry he actually was. He would definitely have to steal some food from her. After reading the part of her being in front of the bookstore he shoved his blackberry back into his pocket and began to walk in the direction of the bookstore. He wasn't even sure why he had bothered to ask where she was because of course she would be at the bookstore. She basically lived there. It was like him and the music store, they all knew who he was, it was cool.
After walking for a couple minutes the bookstore came into view. Alright so he was here now he just needed to find Hailley. She shouldn't be too far away. Eth let his gaze glance around the front of the store. Suddenly a smile formed on his face as he saw her. He rushed over to her, being as quiet as he could and then hopped onto the bench so that he was now sitting right beside her, milkshake still in hand. "Guess who's here! Yes it's your favorite little rock star, me!" He stated with a grin as he looked at her and then quickly grabbed a few of her French fries and stuffed them into his mouth. Yummm, they tasted really good. She had made a good choice today, food wise. After chewing for a couple seconds he swallowed and then took a long drink of his milkshake.[/blockquote]

As he made his way over to the bookstore he wondered if she would get confused by the fact that he hadn't sent her a text message back. Usually he always did but he figured this time he didn't need to since he would be seeing her in a matter of minutes. Plus this gave him a more air of mystery. She knew that he would be coming but she didn't really know when to expect him. This gave him the opportunity to possibly scare her. That was something he always enjoyed. Sneaking up behind her or jumping out either way he loved getting little squeals or reactions out of her. One of his favorite ways to scare her was if they were in a house at night. If she went up to the bathroom he'd make sure that all of the lights were off and then stand somewheres in the hallway so that when she'd come out he could scare her. Yes it may seem a little mean but it amused him and she was slowly getting use to it.
After jumping onto the bench her heard her squeal and knew right away that he had succeeded in his little scaring plan. He began to laugh, "Aww but it's so much fun!" He said but then his laughter slowly died as he heard her next comment. His jaw dropped playfully, "Oh you did not just say that" Eth said as he poked her in the side and then stole another French fry. Listening to her speak he chuckled again, "Oh come on, it's a great combination, just try it!" He stated and then watched her as she curled up closer to him. A smile formed on his face and he allowed her to take his milkshake from him. As she took a sip he nodded, "Seeee, it's good!" the young man said before taking another sip of it once she had given it back to him. Ethan looked out at the crowd of people walking through the mall. He wasn't much of a shopper himself, usually he only came to check out the music stores or hit the place to look for video games or of course get a chocolate milkshake since they were one of his guilty pleasures but still, he never could understand why some people liked coming here so much.
But oh well, it's not that bad if he didn't know. Some people just must like spending money to buy things. It's fine with him. He watched as more people walked by, some were couples others appeared to be just friends. Eth wondered what people would think of him and Hailley sitting like this. Her holding onto him and resting her head on his chest, that was usually what a girlfriend did with her boyfriend. Some times people would ask if they were dating but the answer was always no. They were just friends, hopefully they always would be now. Eth loved Hailley but it was more in the ways of having another sister. Someone to talk about things with or just hang out. It was nice to know that he could confide in her, besides he never thought about her and him being more than just friends. He had someone special in his life. Corrie. They had been through so much together and even though he had messed things up badly in the past they had gotten passed it. Moved on and were still together now. He loved her and didn't want to loose her again. Looking back down at Hailley he smiled, "So what have you been up to today?" He asked and took another French fry from her.

"ETHAN DAVID EVANS!"
The girl playfully exclaimed as he poked her in the side and stole another french fry! He was lucky that he was her best friend. And he was who he was. Otherwise she would have to kill him. Nobody stole her french fries. Normally she would've been surprised but since this was Ethan she wasn't as he let her curl up to him. They were this close all the time so nothing was really new. And there really wasn't a personal space issue with either of them! No, that was unheard of!
"Alright Alright. It was good."
She smiled and wrinkled her nose on purpose even though she had thoroughly enjoyed the combinaton! She just loved to pick on Ethan.
"Oh nothing much just-" Her voice began and she stopped herself and looked around the mall and scolded herself. She had almost said she was texting Nathon all day! So badly she wanted to tell him! Because he wouldn't tell a soul! But she was almost afraid of his reaction...
"Just Hanging out, eating french fries and drinking mountain dew. OH and definately gaining weight." She giggled and grabbed his hand and brought the drink down to her level and she drank some of his milk shake from the straw. "I'm going to be so hyper after this." She laughed again. " What about you?" She asked and then eventually got quiet as she stared into his eyes. "Listen Ethan....There's something I need to tell you. I love-" But then she broke off and sighed trying to gain the courage to say that she loved Nathon.

it was real, it was right but it burned too hot to survive CORRIE KASSIE LOWEN corrie yawned as she pushed open the doors of the albuquerque mall. today she wasn't in much of a mood to go shopping, mainly because she was by herself this time. usually she was with her friends whenever she went shopping. other than that corrie never went alone, unless it was christmas shopping because she always kept her presents top secret. however her gift secrets usually got screwed over because corrie was terrible at being patient, especially when it came to christmas. all of her thoughts scattered in her mind as she walked up to the cash register to pay for the pair of jeans. after handing over her credit card to the sales lady, corrie leaned against the counter and observed the store. at the moment she was bored as hell and there was nothing she could do since the store's computer had just froze up on them. as she looked around she noticed something. a lot of the outfits on the mannequins of the store window looked so much like the designs she had sketched up in her dorm. kaitlin had always told her that she had so much fashion designer potential, but corrie never really took her seriously. after a couple of minutes the computer finally started up again and corrie was given the bag that held her jeans.
stepping out of the store, corrie pulled out her cell phone to check the time. 7:00 pm. wow. already two hours had passed and she had only managed to buy one thing. now that was a major record breaker for corrie. most of the time she got lured into stores for no apparent reason and even though something in the store was completely pointless, she ended up buying it anyway. like the jeans she was holding in her hand. most likely corrie already had that exact pair hanging in her closet, but she never bothered to notice it. as corrie put her cell phone back into her purse, she noticed a familiar face in the distance. actually, two familiar faces. half of a smile came upon her face when she managed to see who those two were. ethan evans and hailley esme calimesa. no surprise there. but what was a bigger shocker to corrie was the fact that hailley's head was resting on ethan's chest. corrie knew they were close, but not that close. letting out a gasp, she made her way toward to where the two were sitting. she didn't bother to interrupt what they were talking about, so cor just stood behind the bench and waited for them to notice her. with her arms folded, she listened into their conversation.
listen Ethan....there's something i need to tell you. i love-
her heart stopped after hearing hailley speak. she couldn't believe what was happening. again. corrie bit her lip, "oh my god." was all that could come out of her mouth. letting out a sigh, she turned around and walked the other direction, not bothering to hear anything else hailley had to say. cor knew that she was jumping to conclusions, but it could be possible. hailley was in love with ethan.
