jen taylor was at the park, jogging along the sidewalk. even though cheerleading was pretty much over, she still needed to stay in shape. as she jogged she was thinking. thinking about brent. she hadn't seen him in like forever. even though she loved him and trusted him, she couldn't help but worry he was cheating on her, even though he promised her he would never do that to her. jen quickly dismissed the thought from her head. they had been going out for two years and a few months, not including the breakup, and she was positive he wouldn't cheat on her. jen then came to a conclusion he was on vacation, probably to visit family back in florida. with that, she started thinking about random things. how she missed new york. jen had had tons of friends back then, but ever since she moved the only people she knew were brent, joe, and mikayla. how exciting. she decided in order to meet more people she'd have a huge christmas party at her house.
jen started to get tired of jogging so she sat down on a nearby bench when someone sat next to her.

Aria was taking a small walk through the park. She pushed a strand of light blonde hair over her shoulder and pulled her coat closer to her. She saw Jen and decided to sit next to her on the bench. She'd seen her around before, at school. "Hey. You're a cheerleader at East High, right?" she asked, with a small smile to her.

Jen looked at the girl. She'd seen her around school a few times, but she didn't really know her. When she asked if she cheered for the school, she nodded. "yea, i'm on the competitive squad" she said and smiled sweetly. "i'm jen by the way" she said and held out her hand.

Aria smiled. "I thought so. I'm Aria." she said, taking Jen's hand and shaking it. She let go and ran her fingers through her blonde hair, which she was planning on cutting very soon. She gave her a look, "So, I'm surprised we haven't seen much of each other. I tried out for the regular cheer squad; the one that only performs at the games, not the competitions. I didn't get in. But I did gymnastics for a while back home, and now I just dance." she said, trying to let Jen know about her, hoping now she was making a friend.

Jen nodded "oh. yea i don't really like the regular squad as much. no offense to them, but most of the people on it are bitches. but with competitive, everyone's soo much nicer. you should try out. i mean, if you want" she said.
